  • The best step you can take to protect yourself is to wash your hands for the recommended 20 seconds of washing with soap containing at least 60% alcohol. If you cannot wash your hands try to avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. Another way to protect yourself is to avoid close contact with people who are sick.

    In order to prevent spreading COVID-19 to other people it is best to stay home except for getting medical care. If you cough or sneeze you should do so into your elbow or tissue, after you’ve sneezed it is good to immediately wash your hands or use 60% alcohol hand sanitizer.

    Facemask usage should be reserved for those who are sick or helping someone who is sick. If neither of these apply please don’t buy face masks as they might be in short supply and kept for people who need them.

    Disinfecting surfaces is also important especially on frequently touched things like phones or doorknobs.
